The Friends of the Pikes Peak Library District
was established on the 50th anniversary of the
Colorado Springs Public Library March 11, 1955, and incorporated in 1969 as a
nonprofit organization. The Friends is a "constant, pervasive and ever vociferous
advocate for the library" whose passion is to have the best library possible.
Today, with over 1,000 members, the Friends sponsors and supports numerous programs and
events to further individuals enjoyment of reading and love for books. Programs

There are Branch Friends groups at each branch. If you'd like to volunteer or
become involved with them please contact your
favorite branch. When
you become a member and fill in your branch of choice, half of your dues
goes back to that Branch Friends group.
