Katherine Spicer has lived in Colorado Springs since
1990. She graduated from Colorado College in 1993 and from Washburn
University School of Law in 1999. Formerly a Public Defender, she is now a
Prosecuting Attorney with the Office of the City Attorney.
In addition to her involvement in the legal community,
Katherine has volunteered for the Children’s Literacy Center and the
Department of Human Services’ “Project Redirect” program. She is a life-long
library user and is dedicated to what she coins as “one of this community’s
greatest public institutions.”
Katherine and her husband Don have young twin daughters
who frequent the Library and are especially fond of the rabbit at Penrose
Library, the Legos table and all of the reading programs for children.
