Kathleen Owings

Kathleen E. Owings was appointed to the Pikes Peak Library District Board of Trustees in January 2009.

Kathleen currently works as a Financial Representative for New England Financial, a Metlife Company. She provides comprehensive financial services to clients and their families, business planning and benefit strategies to small business owners and individualized family financial strategies for a variety of personal financial goals.

Kathleen earned a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York in 2000. She served in the US Army for eight years fulfilling her commitment as a Corps of Engineer officer. She and her husband, Michael, proudly served their country moving all over the world, to include Alabama, Missouri, Texas, Korea, Kuwait and Iraq. They decided to make Colorado home following their separation from the Army.

Kathleen served as a volunteer for the Children’s Literacy Center and she wanted to continue her service to the community. She treasures the opportunity to work towards making the Pikes Peak Library District one of the best in the country.
