Image Collections
The Pikes Peak Library District's Image Collections include the following:
Historical Photographs
Over 100,000 prints and negatives from the
William Henry Jackson, Hook, Stewart, Sweet, and
Payne collections are included. Fees are charged
for reproduction.
Fine Art Photography
Photographic collections with high artistic,
historical, and informational value become an
extension of the library's dedication to
education, culture, and research. Artists
represented include Myron Wood, Laura Gilpin, and
Adam Clarke Vroman. Study prints are available
for viewing; appointments are recommended. Fees
are charged for reproduction and use.
Maps
The collection includes topographic, street,
Sanborn, railroad, and many other kinds of maps
for the region.
Blueprints
Includes significant buildings by well-known
regional architects, including McLaren, Thomas,
and Hetherington. The collection includes very
few individual residences. Fees are charged for
reproduction.
Lithographs
The collection includes several hundred
lithographs depicting scenes, people, and events
from the Pikes Peak region and the Rocky Mountain
West. Fees are charged for reproduction.
