ABSTRACT:  Photocopies of newspaper articles, correspondence, and book excerpts written from 1886-1985 about Nikola Tesla and his experiments, as well as a comprehensive index to publications from around the world written in which Tesla or his work was mentioned. The articles and index were compiled by the Tesla Book Company which publishes books and information about Tesla and related subjects. 

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE:  This collection has been divided into three parts: print materials, microfische and a substantial card index. The print material consists of photocopies of articles, book excerpts, and published papers about Nikola Tesla and his experiments. A portion of the microfische duplicates the print articles. Other items on the microfische include U.S. Patent Office records, correspondence, and relevant papers copied from the collections of several libraries around the country.  Hundreds of Rolodex cards serve as an index to the printed matter and microfische and include references to articles published in journals from around the world. 

ARRANGEMENT:  Print articles have been arranged in chronological order and duplicates have been removed from the collection. Microfische have been maintained in their original order but sleeved for ease of access. Cards originally filed in Rolodexes have been transferred in their original order to small boxes and the original Rolodex labels have been transcribed as content listings. Books donated with this collection have been transferred to the Special Collections book stacks. 

RESTRICTIONS:  There are no access restrictions on the materials, and the collection is open to all members of the public. However, the researcher assumes full responsibility for conforming with the laws of libel, privacy, and copyright which may be involved in the use of this collection
