About the Youth Advisory Council (YAC)

The Youth Advisory Council's mission is to
- Plan teen library programs.
- Encourage teens to be more creative with their time and talents.
- Erase negative stereotypes of libraries and encourage teen use of
the Library.
- Membership is open to teens in grades 6-12 who are between the
ages 11-18. YAC members cannot join YAC past 12th grade or age
18, but current members may stay past 12th grade or age 18.

To join the Youth Advisory Council, fill
out the online membership
application form or pick up a paper form at any
Library Branch and turn it into the
East
Library. If you have any questions, please contact the
