Planning for Survival: Lessons from Waldo Canyon

Representatives of various city and county agencies will discuss how emergency planning aided in limiting the loss of life during the Waldo Canyon Fire. Panelists will include:

• Christina Randall, Wildfire Mitigation Administrator, Division of the Fire Marshal
• Kathy Russell, Emergency Preparedness Planner for El Paso County Office of Emergency Management, El Paso County Sheriff's Office
• Lt. Jason Mikesell, Teller County Incident Management Team, Teller County Sheriff's Office
• Steve Steed, Director of Teller County Office of Emergency Management
