Weekly Programs
Baby Time
Babies from birth to 12 months, with a favorite adult, enjoy songs, bouncing action rhymes, and sharing a book together.

Storytime
Children ages 3 and up, with a favorite adult, experience stories through books, flannelboards, puppets, songs and activities. This program encourages emerging reading skills by engaging children with shapes, sounds, rhythm, and rhyme in a playful environment.

Bilingual Storytime
This is a bilingual storytime conducted mostly in English with the opportunity to learn Spanish words and phrases. Children will have the opportunity to participate in the delights of rhyme, rhythm, and a few special stories and songs.

Toddler Time
In this program, 1- and 2-year-old children, with a favorite adult, participate in nursery rhymes, music and movement, and listen to a few short books. Toddler Time builds on familiar experiences to introduce new vocabulary and word sounds in a lively atmosphere.

Snuggle Up Storytime
A special family storytime suggested for children older than 3 years old. Parents are encouraged to attend and participate, and children are encouraged to wear their favorite pajamas and bring a favorite cuddly toy.

Study Buddies
High school volunteers will help students in kindergarten through fifth grade with homework or reading practice.

Nature Adventures
What is your Nature IQ? We will play a game to start learning all about the world around us. For grades 1 through 5.

American Girl Book Club
Josefina is the American Girl for September - November. Please read Book #1 Meet Josefina before our first meeting. Registration is required. Two different sessions, either the first Friday or the third Friday.

Tween Book Club
Hey, tweens! Read a book of your choosing that centers on the theme for the month. This month’s theme is: Adventure! Come join other tweens to share what you read. Ages 9 - 12 welcome.

Homeschool Lunch
Bring a sack lunch, enjoy meeting other homeschool families and participate in an educational activity while becoming familiar with library resources at the same time. We will be learning about walking sticks and making some of our own.

LEGO Club
LEGO enthusiasts of all ages, join us as we kick off our new, monthly LEGO club! We’ll provide the LEGOs, you bring the creativity! Open to everyone. Please do not bring your own LEGOs. However, donations are gladly accepted!

APPR Family Fun: Blimp with Birgitta De Pree and Sara Barad from Manitou Art Theatre!
Take two of the best improvisational actors in the area, one tall and one short, put them together with children of all ages and watch as creative sparks fly as audience-inspired stories magically appear.

APPR Family Fun: How to Take Great Candid Pictures of Your Children
Learn how to get great candid shots with your digital camera. Professional photographer, Stefanie Garcia from Ania Photo www.aniaphoto.com , will teach techniques for capturing wonderful pictures of your children. All ages are welcome, but the focus will be on adults taking pictures of their children. A story and craft will be presented for children while Stefanie shares her tips with the adults. Bring your cameras!

Homeschool Science Lab
Homeschooled students can use PPLD's science equipment for parent-assigned experiments, with the help of our volunteer. A parent must accompany the student.

Join us for a different hands-on family learning experience every time. We meet the first Wednesday of the month. Bring a sack lunch to enjoy after the lesson while you socialize with other Homeschool families. For Homeschool families with elementary-age children.
