American Girl Book Club
Josefina is the American Girl for September - November. Please read Book #1 “Meet Josefina” before our first meeting. Registration is required. Two different sessions, either the first Friday or the third Friday.

Teen Anime Club at High Prairie Library, 7035 Old Meridian Road
Meet other anime lovers! Each meeting, we watch a different anime. Recommended for ages 13 and up. The program is suitable for 11- and 12-year-olds with parental permission. Bring a snack!

Tween Book Club

Talk to your friends, play the Wii, play on the computer and maybe even do your homework.

Teen Craft Day
Teens will create a “Door knob message center”.

TAG (Teen Advisory Group)
Bring your voice, bring your friends, bring it on! Help plan and promote programs at the East Library. For more information call 531-6333, x1309.

All Ages Chess Club (& Checkers!)

Teen Fiction Writer’s Club
In this critique group you will get feedback on your writing, share ideas and suggestions with other teen writers and get information about writing contests you can enter. Bring two to five double-spaced pages of your current manuscript to share.

There are manga and anime fans, and then there are otaku, the super-fans who eat, drink, shop, collect and obsess over every facet of Japanese comics, animated TV shows, movies, toys and video games.

CMAT Program/Tween Library Program
Come join the Cheyenne Mountain Advisory Team meeting. This is an ongoing group that meets on the second Tuesday of each month. Ages 9 - 12 are welcome. Snacks will be served.

Scribes and Bards
This is a writer’s workshop for students in middle school through college. A published fantasy author will lead exercises, discussions, and writing lessons.

Teens are invited to debunk some myths and solve a few mysteries about their personal finances with our guest speaker, Tim Shupe, from TCF Bank. Learn about keeping a checking account balanced, and many other financial tips to help you stay savvy in these tough financial times.

Teen Movie: Thor (Rated PG-13 115 min.)
This epic adventure spans the Marvel Universe; from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth. Popcorn and drinks will be served.

TAB (Teens At Briargate)
TAB is a community-service oriented group of teens that meets monthly to plan programs and community service projects. This dynamic group is a creative way to earn community service hours for school, scouts or any other purpose. However, you have to apply, and spots are limited. For information on getting an application, contact Lindsay at the Briargate Library.

Paper Cranes for Japan
Help to achieve the Monument Library’s goal to make 1000 cranes. The cranes which symbolize blessings in the Japanese culture will be displayed to express our sympathy for victims of the earthquake and tsunami.

All Pikes Peak Reads Hunger Games Tournament
