55+ Beginning Computer Class Series

When: Friday, July 25, 2014 - 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Where: East Library - 5550 N. Union Blvd. at East Computer Lab

Become familiar with the parts of a computer, including the mouse, and practice simple navigation in a screen and window environment. Learn how to enter information using the keyboard. This is a 3 class series. Patron is signing up for ALL three classes when signing up for ANY of the sessions.

Photoshop Elements 10 Part 1 and 2

When: Saturday, July 26, 2014 - 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM
Where: Penrose Library - 20 North Cascade at Penrose Computer Lab

Learn the basics of Photoshop Elements 10 in this two part class.
Class will be strictly limited to 6 participants, due to number of Photoshop Elements licenses available in computer lab. Registrants must sign up for both the July 19th and July 26th classes. The first session will cover the "Organizer" within Elements while the second session will deal primarily with the "Guided Photo Edit" feature within Elements.

AARP Smart Driver Course

When: Saturday, July 26, 2014 - 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Where: Sand Creek Library - 1821 South Academy Blvd. at Sand Creek Meeting Room

The cost for the course is $15 for members of AARP, and $20 for non-members. We prefer payment in the form of checks made out to AARP, but we will accept cash.
Any aged person may attend, but the Insurance Discount only applies to those 55 years old and above.
Court Directed persons (those who need a class to regain a driver’s license that the Court has held) are welcomed. Our Instructors are authorized to sign off related court documents.
The class lasts 4 hours
Class sign-in begins 15 minutes prior to the class.
Pre-class reservations are requested, but we may accept a few walk-ins, space and materials limited.

Topics can include: Mouse Basics; Computer/Windows Basics; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher); Email; Facebook; Internet Basics; Ereaders; and transferring digital photographs to a computer. Tai Chi Class

Here's your chance to ask any question you have about computers, for free! Our panel of tech nerds will try to help you with any computer-related questions to the best of their abilities.
Registration is required for those who would like to reserve a laptop computer for use during the class. Walk-ins are welcome if you're bringing your own computer.
