Fountain Construction Project

There are exciting things planned for Fountain in spring of 2006!

Fountain Branch building as of February 6, 2006

A NEW 10,000-square-foot library
State-of-the-art technology, including self check out
Patron-friendly spaces with reading and meeting areas

In order to meet the library needs of the community, PPLD and the City of Fountain have developed a funding triad formula that encourages collaboration between government, business, and private nonprofit sectors.

  • The City of Fountain will provide land, waive tap fees and other services, and provide monies for the new branch library and its community meeting room.

  • Fountain-Fort Carson School District #8 has committed to providing the land for the parking lot.

  • PPLD will provide monies toward library construction.

Additional financial support is being solicited from local businesses and charitable organizations. Please contact Julianne Rist if you would like to contribute.
