  • Saturday, August 18, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Open to the public

Old Colorado City Holds Info

If you placed a hold when the Old Colorado City Branch was still open and would prefer to pick up your book at a different location (other than the Bookmobile at the Old Colorado City location Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4-6pm), please call 531-6333 x1502 and leave a message with your name, phone number, library card number and where you would like to pick up your book.

Old Colorado City Branch Construction Update

Library staff was able to tour the building on July 9th. Everyone was very impressed in the amount of work already completed. The staff is standing in the middle of what will be the “new” service desk. This photo actually lines up in almost the exact position of the original desk:

World Music Series 2007: Ancient Grooves

Ancient Grooves

Ancient Grooves is a uniquely versatile ensemble of master musicians performing on musical instruments from around the world. They create a sound that levitates the audience to other worlds with drums from West Africa, Brazilian berimbau’s (struck bows with gourd resonators), exotic gourd water drums of the ancient tribes of Mexico, bagpipes of Eastern Europe that look like animals, and a collection of exotic fiddles.
