55+ Beginning Computer Class Series

"Movie, Lunch and You" Light Between Oceans

Embrace the Artist in You

Five simple activities to give you freedom to explore your creative side.
Artist, illustrator and author Shelley Hitz will help you embrace your inner artist with watercolors, colored pens, colored pencils, calligraphy and free-style art. No experience is necessary. Walking Tour of Historic Old Colorado City

Where: Old Colorado City Library - 2418 West Pikes Peak at Old Colorado City Meeting Room

Join library staff for a free 45 minute walking tour of historic Old Colorado City. No registration necessary, but groups should call ahead. Please come prepared for weather--sunny or cool accordingly. In case of rain, a slideshow will be presented in the library meeting room. Contact David if you have questions.

Senior Self Defense Class

Grand Master Sterling Chase, of DuMyon Martial Arts, will teach seniors introductory steps to the ‘Breakaway and Seek Help’ line of defense. Topics covered will include:

• Balance and movement
• Awareness of your surroundings
• 2-3 Techniques for breaking away and seeking help

This is a non-cardio class. Registration is required. Class size is limited to 20 people. Please call 719-633-6278 or stop by your local library. Registration deadline is May 5th.

A Tea for All Ages

Everyone from 5 to 99 years of age is invited to attend this delightful tea at the Palmer Lake Town Hall! Please wear your Sunday best (hats optional) and bring your own unique tea cup. There will be treats and activities that tea party goers of every age can enjoy. Space is limited! Please RSVP by May 3 with staff at either Monument or Palmer Lake Libraries. The tea party will be from 1 - 3 pm at the Palmer Lake Town Hall on Saturday, May 13th.

Paper Craft Class

Hello-
Most of the Social Security classes that are held in our branches are community organizations or businesses that are using our meeting rooms. We do not a list of those organizations. I'm sorry I cannot be of more assistance.
