55+ Technology, "Skype"

When: Wednesday, August 27, 2014 - 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Where: Sand Creek Library - 1821 South Academy Blvd. at Sand Creek Meeting Room

Using email addresses and basic personal information, class members will create their own personal Skype accounts. Learning how to make video and audio calls will be part of the class.

Become familiar with the parts of a computer, including the mouse, and practice simple navigation in a screen and window environment. Learn how to enter information using the keyboard. This is a 3 class series. Patron is signing up for ALL three classes when signing up for ANY of the sessions.

Word II

Become familiar with advanced features of Microsoft Word such as: setting margins, inserting tables, columns, borders, footnotes, etc. Prerequisites: Introduction to Microsoft Word and Internet Basics, or have familiarity with the internet.

Internet Basics

When: Thursday, August 28, 2014 - 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM

Learn the vocabulary associated with the World Wide Web, how to evaluate a website, and how to work with Internet Explorer.

Word 1

Where: Lib21c at Computer Lab

In this class you will become familiar with basic word processing skills necessary to create and save word documents by learning to read the Microsoft Word screen and entering and manipulating basic text.
Prerequisites: Experience using a mouse and keyboard. Call 389-8968 to register.

Excel II

When: Friday, August 29, 2014 - 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM
Where: East Library - 5550 N. Union Blvd. at East Computer Lab

Class description: Learn more complex formatting, charts, formulas, and sorting of an Excel worksheet.
Prerequisite: Excel I. Call 389-8968 to register.

Photoshop Elements 10 Part 1 and 2

When: Friday, August 29, 2014 - 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM
Where: Penrose Library - 20 North Cascade at Penrose Computer Lab

Learn the basics of Photoshop Elements 10 in this two part class.
Class will be strictly limited to 6 participants, due to number of Photoshop Elements licenses available in computer lab. Registrants must sign up for both the August 22nd and August 29th classes. The first session will cover the "Organizer" within Elements while the second session will deal primarily with the "Guided Photo Edit" feature within Elements.
