In this class you will become familiar with more advanced formatting features of Microsoft Word to make a professional looking page.
Prerequisites: Completion of Word I

Computer Basics and Windows 8 Basics

Where: Library 21c at Computer Lab

This class will occur in two parts, students will be signing up for both parts. Part 1 will be Computer Basics: Introduction to computers, including an explanation of the parts of the computer & simple tasks. No previous computer experience required.
Part 2 will be Windows 8 Basics: Become familiar with the parts of Microsoft Windows 8 by learning terminology, ways to open windows, how to toggle between windows and how to save and open files.

Topics can include: Mouse Basics; Computer/Windows Basics; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher); Email; Facebook; Internet Basics; Ereaders; and transferring digital photographs to a computer.
