Word II

In this class you will become familiar with more advanced formatting features of Microsoft Word to make a professional looking page.
Prerequisites: Completion of Word I

Laptop Lab

Library laptops are available for use in our downstairs meeting room. Library staff will be on hand either to assist with personal projects from job skills to Microsoft Office products, or provide practice materials on computer basics. No registration required, but limited to first 10 attendees. Call the library for more information.

Word I

In this class you will become familiar with basic word processing skills necessary to create and save word documents by learning to read the Microsoft Word screen and entering and manipulating basic text.
Prerequisites: Completion of (55+) Computer Basics and experience using a mouse and keyboard

Windows 7 Basics Class

When: Monday, October 06, 2014 - 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM
Where: East Library - 5550 N. Union Blvd. at East Computer Lab

Become familiar with the parts of Microsoft Windows 7 by learning terminology, ways to open windows, how to toggle between windows, and how to save and open files.

1-on-1 Computer Session

Don’t see a computer class offering what you need? Sign up for a 1-on-1 session! Topics can include: Mouse Basics; Computer/Windows Basics; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher); Email; Facebook; Internet Basics; Ereaders; and transferring digital photographs to a computer. A reservation must be made and the topic approved in advance. Sessions are 45 minutes long. Contact Cheyenne Mountain Library to set up an appointment: 633-6278.

Career Compass Series

Short classes will be offered on various topics followed by time to work on job searches, applications, résumés, etc., with assistance available.
