Starting Seedlings Without Pots and Making Seed Tapes
Presented by: Pikes Peak Urban Gardens (PPUG), Larry Stebbins, Sean Svette and/or Tally Kerr
Learn how to avoid using those throw away plastic pots to start your vegetable seedlings. With the affordable soil block maker you can make soil cubes (without pots) to sprout your seeds. Each participant will make soil blocks out of a great organic soil mix and take home a tray of these soil blocks that are ready to plant when you are. Do you have trouble planting those very small seeds without over crowding? You will learn and take home seed tapes that you will make. We will supply everything you need, including the seeds! Prepare to work in the dirt and have some fun!
