Needles at the Library!

Join us at the Manitou Springs Library for knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, cross stitch or any kind of hand work. You'll find free patterns, needlepoint and knitting books, free yarn and good conversation. Bring your hand work projects and join us. Beginners to expert, all are welcome.

AARP Mature Safe Driving Program

When: Saturday, November 15, 2014 - 8:15 AM - 12:15 PM
Where: Manitou Springs Library

The nation's first and largest classroom driver refresher course specially designed for motorists age 50 and older. Upon successfully completing the course, graduates may present their course completion certificate to their insurance agents for a discount. This is a full 8 hour course taught by AARP trainers. AARP members pay the instructor $12.00. Please bring your membership card. Non-members pay the instructor $14.00. They may complete the application form with payment for membership, collected by the instructor and submitted to national. Correct change or check is strongly encouraged. They must by 50 years or older. At the Cheyenne Branch, students need to bring a sack lunch that does not require refridgeration or a microwave.

Paper Crafting-Gifts and Cards

When: Saturday, November 22, 2014 - 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Where: Manitou Springs Library at Congregational Church, 103 Pawnee Ave

Theresa Pingel and Sara Theiler will teach paper crafting-handmade cards, gift card holders, decorative Post-It holders and much more. Each participant will take home 2 completed projects. There's no charge for supplies. The class will be held across from the library at the Congregational Church, 103 Pawnee Ave. Free parking behind the church.
