Baby Time

Babies from birth to 12 months, with a favorite adult, enjoy songs, bouncing action rhymes, and sharing a book together. Each interactive session gives babies the opportunity to hear lots of language and play with other babies. Space is limited.

After School Adventures

When: Thursday, May 26, 2016 - 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Where: Fountain Library - 230 S. Main Street at Fountain Meeting Room

For ages 5-10. Join us after school for fun, crafts, games and activities! Remember, for their safety, children ages 11 and under must bring an adult or responsible caregiver who is at least 12 years old with them to the library.

Stay & Play Story Time

Come read, rhyme and rock! A very interactive storytime that engages children ages two to five and their favorite adults in stories and songs in which everyone participates. Summer Morning Fun: Dinosaur Resource Center

When: Wednesday, June 01, 2016 - 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Where: Fountain Library - 230 S. Main Street at Fountain Meeting Room

Join the Dinosaur Resource Center and learn about dinosaurs, flying reptiles and marine reptiles that were around in the Cretaceous period about 65 million years ago. Touch claws, teeth and skulls of these marvelous animals. There is reference material to take home along with coloring sheets and you can even play a bean bag game about dinosaurs. We love questions, so come with yours and be sure and bring your camera!

Join Science Matters for an exciting exploration of Kitchen Science! This 45 minute demonstration will tantalize your taste buds and explain the science behind many culinary events. Watch our kitchen science expert churn butter, view a Naked Egg, and inject a lemon with ink. We will prove that you can drop an egg without cracking, put a hole in a plastic bag, and see the Power of Rice. To wrap things up, we light up a pickle and make Elephant’s Toothpaste. Your tongue will tingle with excitement when you learn the science behind the kitchen counter!

Summer Morning Fun: How I Learned to Juggle at My Library with Ann Lincoln
