Saving Library Card Number and PIN in Your Browser
How do I set up my browser to retain my library card and PIN in the new catalog logon fields?
Click on "Tools" and scroll down to "Internet Options."
Click on the "Content" tab and then the "Settings" button beside "AutoComplete."
In the "AutoComplete Settings" menu box, put a check mark beside "User names and passwords on forms" and "Ask me before saving passwords."
Click OK to exit the menu boxes.
When you log on to your account, you should see a confirmation box asking if you want the password info to be saved. Select "yes."
Click on "Tools" in the upper menu and then select "Options."
In the Options menu box, select the Security icon.
Make sure "Remember passwords for sites" is selected.
In the Options menu box, select the Privacy icon.
Change the history setting to "Use custom settings for history"
Select "Remember search and form history" and click OK.
Close and re-open Firefox.
When you enter your library card number and PIN on the login fields, you should see this:
Click "Remember password."
Click on the wrench icon to go to "Settings"
Scroll down and click "Show advanced settings"
Scroll down until you see "Passwords and forms"
Check "offer to save passwords I enter on the web"
Close and re-open Chrome.
When you enter your library card and PIN on the new catalog, you should see this toolbar appear. Select "Save password."
