55 + Intermedate Email Basics Computer Class

In this class, you will learn about the address book, attachments, and folders. Please bring your email address and password. Successful completion of Email Basics i required. Also, basic Mouse skills such as scrolling, clicking, highlighting, & clicking in a box is required.

Join other seniors for these open, one hour classes. Each session will start with a brief review, followed by questions and the chance to work on your own project with an instructor available to help. This week: Digital Photos, downloading, saving and attaching. Laptops are provided, but bring your own if you have one! Attendees should have beginning to intermediate experience using a computer. 55+ Word Processing Basics II

For adults who have basic computer and typing skills and are interested in learning how to use Word 2007 to write letters, invitations, or resumes. The class covers copy, cut, and paste options, underlining, centering, changing font sizes and styles, spell check, and saving and printing a document. By the end of the second class, students should be able to make a document, correct it, insert a picture, save and print it. Remedial typing instruction is not included.

Need instruction or a brush up on basic 2007 Microsoft Office skills? These evening classes are offered to those looking for job skills or just needing to improve their ability. We work on laptops, but a mouse is provided. Register below or call the library at 719-634-1698. If the class is full, walk-ins are welcome to observe or work on their own laptop. Tonight's session: Publisher I. Learn how to create a document integrating graphics and text boxes with various fonts, sizes and colors. Also use Publisher to create business cards, greeting cards, banners and more. Prerequisites: Computer 101 or experience using a mouse and keyboard.
