55+ Word Processing Basics II

Where: Monument Branch - 1706 Lake Woodmoor Drive at Monument Computer Lab

For adults who have basic computer and typing skills and are interested in learning how to use Word 2007 to write letters, invitations, or resumes. The class covers copy, cut, and paste options, underlining, centering, changing font sizes and styles, spell check, and saving and printing a document. By the end of the second class, students should be able to make a document, correct it, insert a picture, save and print it. Remedial typing instruction is not included.

55+ Beginning Computer class series

Meeting for 5 class sessions, students in this class will cover a different topic each class related to basic computer skills.

This class instruduces patrons to "Learn on Demand", which gives free online lessons in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more. Patrons must have a library card starting with 4 and know their PIN. Patrons need to know how to use a mouse and a keyboard already. Drop-ins welcome, registration not required for this class.

PPLD offers free online training in Microsoft Office products to all patrons whose library card starts with a 4. Enhance your job skills. These evening classes will introduce patrons to the subscription database: Learn On Demand, create an account for them, and get them started on one particular product. Prerequisites: Computer Basics and Windows Basics. Patrons must have a library card starting with 4 and know their PIN. Sign up online or call any library. This evening's focus: MS Powerpoint 2007.
