Presenter Bios

Ed and Nancy Bathke have resided in Colorado for 47 years, 36 as residents of Manitou Springs and presently in Douglas County. Ed is a mathematician and retired computer analyst. Nancy is a retired elementary school teacher. They are co-authors of The West in Postage Stamps and have had articles published in the Brand Books and “Roundup” magazine of the Denver Westerners. Ed edited Volume 28 of the Denver Westerners Brand Books. The Bathkes are members of the Ghost Town Clubs of Colorado and of Colorado Springs, and the Pikes Peak Posse, Denver Posse, and Boulder Corral of the Westerners. Their co-written article, “The Pike Centennial Celebration, 1906,” appears in the book derived from the 2006 symposium. Mr. and Mrs. Bathke will present their research on Dr. Lester L. Williams at the 2008 Pikes Peak Regional History Symposium.
