New this year: an emphasis on toddlers and “tweens”

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Beginning Monday, children from birth to 18 are invited to visit the library for Pikes Peak Library District’s annual summer reading program. This year’s “Be Creative” program gives tots, tweens and teens a chance to showcase their artistic talents and enjoy imaginative performances from local puppeteers, storytellers, musicians, magicians, and actors.

Career Compass

This class is both an introduction to library resources for job seekers and computer lab time with assistance. Some possible topics include resume and cover letter writing, career and industry research, job searches, etc. Please contact the instructor prior to class with your specific needs. Drop ins are also welcome providing there is room available.

Toddler Time

One and two-year-old children, with a favorite adult, participate in nursery rhymes, music and movement, and listen to a few short books. Toddlertime builds on familiar experiences to introduce new vocabulary and word sounds in a lively atmosphere.
