Family Fun: Fountain Arts Center performing "Gwendolyn the Graceful Pig"

Enjoy a perfect day of ballet fun for the budding dancers and story lovers in your family when ballerinas from the Fountain Arts Center take center stage at the Fountain Public Library. Fountain Arts Center voice student, Abigail Brannen will read the picture book, Gwendolyn, the Graceful Pig,while the dancers perform the story.
Gwendolyn, the Graceful Pig tells the tale of Gwendolyn and Omar – two best friends who have big dreams. Gwendolyn longs to dance ballet and Omar wants to join the football team. There is just one problem – they are both pigs! Fountain Arts Center Ballet Company is excited to present this very imaginative tale promoting both literacy and movement. Author signed copies of the book will be available for purchase. The event is free. Bring your cameras.

Goat Cheese Making Demonstration

Homeschool Lunch Bunch "Read It Before You See It" Book Club

New this year: an emphasis on toddlers and “tweens”

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Beginning Monday, children from birth to 18 are invited to visit the library for Pikes Peak Library District’s annual summer reading program. This year’s “Be Creative” program gives tots, tweens and teens a chance to showcase their artistic talents and enjoy imaginative performances from local puppeteers, storytellers, musicians, magicians, and actors.

Bright from the Start Parent Child Workshop

When: Wednesday, October 01, 2014 - 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM
Where: Fountain Library - 230 S. Main Street at Fountain Meeting Room

For children ages birth-5 with a favorite adult. Spend time together, play, experience art activities and meet new friends. Community Resource Specialists will discuss topics on child development, speech and hearing, nutrition, play and movement. This workshop meets on Wednesday mornings for a five week session, Sept. 17th-Oct. 15th. Please plan on attending all five session dates. Siblings are welcome. Registration is required. Please register each child who will be attending.
