Sewing Zoo

When: Saturday, March 25, 2017 - 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Where: East Library - 5550 N. Union Blvd. at EA Makerspace

Sew your own zoo at this fun and interactive program. We’ll supply fabric, a few basic animal patterns, and instructions to create your very own fuzzy friend.

Hand and/or machine sewing skills are required to participate. Ages 12 and up.

Yo-Yo Club

Family Movie Night: Moana

On the first Wednesday of each month, we'll show a movie for anyone ages 9+ in the East Teen Center. Tasty treats will be served! This month, we're showing Moana, 107 min, PG. Ages 9+ ONLY.

AfterMath - Free Math Tutoring - All Ages, All Levels

Wired Wednesdays: Writable Circuits

When: Wednesday, April 12, 2017 - 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Where: East Library - 5550 N. Union Blvd. at EA Makerspace

Every second Wednesday of the month, we will host a circuitry or robotics workshop. This Wednesday, we'll use Writable Circuits to learn more about how circuits work and we'll draw our own working circuits using special pens! Participants should be ages 9-18 to attend. Participants 9-11 must be accompanied by a parent; both parties must register.

Teens & Tweens MAKE@EA: Light Switch Covers

When: Wednesday, April 12, 2017 - 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Stop by Make @ East on the second Wednesday of the month for an adventure in the makerspace! This month, we'll use the laser cutter to spruce up our lightswitch covers.

Learn to Sew: T-shirt Pillow

This month, we'll work on our sewing skills (or learn to sew) by taking old t-shirts and turning them into decorative pillows! Bring your own t-shirt, or use one that we provide.

East Coding Club

Have you ever wondered what makes computer programs run? Ever wanted to make a fun program or learn how to make a game?

Learn the basics of how to code!

In this club, teens and tweens can learn to code at their own pace as we explore different programs and concepts. We'll begin with a lesson series that teaches the basics of javascript. This club is self-guided, so everyone can learn at their own pace.

Ages 9-18 only.

Space is limited to the first 12 teens/tweens to show up, but registration is not required!

Homeschool Science @ East -- Egg Drop Prep

When: Friday, April 21, 2017 - 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Have fun learning how to make a successful Egg Drop Container!

Grove will walk us through some of the best methods for making holders to keep your raw eggs in one piece when dropping them from the deck at East Library! (Build your contraption, then bring it back to East Library in May for The Big Egg Drop!)

Our Homeschool Science @ East programs are scheduled at 1 p.m. on the third Friday of every month. During this time our volunteers will have a special program for everyone to participate in. This is a family program so parents are expected to accompany their students. Lab equipment is available for you to use in the ERC (Educational Resource Center) during its normal open hours. Homeschool Science @ East is open to all ages, and (generally) no registration is required.

please put all the dates under one post, and list what you are doing during each event with its separate date. it is confusing looking at all the dates as separate events instead of one event with all the dates.

Hi there. I'm a little unclear on what you have in mind, but this is a feed from our calendar software, so unfortunately there's isn't much room for customization. However, you can click on the "click here for calendar view" link at the top of the feed and go directly to the calendar where you can filter the search to fit your needs.

How do we find out about the events from Sept. 22 to Sept. 30? Like the Wired Weekend.
