Viewing the Details of an Item

16

Detail Display

When you click on a search result title or image, a new window displays details for that item.

In the Catalog data, you might see links (an author's name, for example) 1 that you can click to begin a new search for that link's content.

The detail display of a title opens to the item availability information. Depending on the number of copies, that section can be long. Click on the word "Available" to collapse the item availability tab and see the other tabs 2.

To close the item detail view, click the Close button 3, or click anywhere outside the detail display window.

Selecting an Action

From the Select An Action drop-down menu 4, you can place a hold on the item, add the item to My Lists, and email or print item information (see Using the Select an Action Drop-Down Menu).

  • Other patron reviews of the title, presented by Goodreads. You can log on to Goodreads and leave a review as well.
  • Links to other titles in a series.
  • Recommended series, authors and titles, that are similar to this title.
