World Music Series: Bomba Estéreo

On June 14, Bomba Estéreo kicked off World Music Series 2010, brought to you this year by KRCC Concerts. The band, which hails from Bogotá, Colombia, describes its sound as “electro tropical.” You can watch the PPLD TV-produced video of the first song of their performance below. The final show of this year's series will be at 7 p.m. on August 9, when Rupa and the April Fishes bring their enchanting mix of gypsy swing, Latin grooves, French New Wave, and Indian ragas to Colorado College's Armstrong Quad.
