Makerspaces

PPLD’s makerspaces offer access to tools, materials, and machines to help bring your creative vision to life. In these spaces, you’ll find equipment such as 3D printers, laser engraving & cutting machines, sewing machines, and assorted handicraft and art tools. Reservations are recommended for makerspace equipment. Find out what's available and plan your project. We also have a partnership with the Manitou Art Center allowing patrons to use their makerspace equipment. Go to the MAC page to find out more.

Before you visit our spaces, make sure to familiarize yourself with our Makerspace Policy. Our makerspaces each work a little differently, but you’ll need a few basic things to access all of them:

Makerspace Use Agreement

A signed Creative Space Use Agreement for Minors (en español). Adults agree to the terms when reserving equipment.
Age 9 or Older

You must be at least 9 years of age to be in the spaces. Children 9-11 must be accompanied by a guardian.
Closed toed shoes

Closed-toed shoes must be worn in the space. Hair and any dangling items, like jewelry, should be secured.
Makerspace Fees

Most machines (except the 3D printers) are free to use with your own materials. See the equipment pages for more info.
Check in and out

Patrons must check in with staff upon arrival in the spaces and check out before leaving.

Equipment is available by reservation.
