Alex Gilmore Endowment Fund

The Alex Gilmore Endowment was created to provide underprivileged children with additional opportunities to expand their knowledge and love of books within the Pikes Peak Library District. Alex was a foster child who learned to love his library and books but was killed tragically when only 3 1/2 years old. Alex loved Toddler Time at the library and all that books could bring to his life. He taught that a book is magical and a life-changing element.

The Alex Gilmore Endowment Fund has been established by Alex's foster parents to celebrate his short life and to bring the joy and escape the library afforded him to other children. Help us to remember Alex and turn his tragedy into an opportunity for others.

In celebration of Alex's birthday, the Alex Gilmore Endowment Fund will provide a gift to the Monument Children's Library each year in July.
