Friday Fun! Crafts

Friday Fun: Crafts! is a program for kids grades k-8 which meets right after school. Snacks will be provided. We hope to see you there!

Join us for an after school adventure! You provide the imagination, we provide the supplies. Ages 7-12.

East Coding Club: Google CS First Social Media

When: Friday, February 23, 2018 - 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Where: East Library at East Learning Lab

We'll be using Google's evaluated CS-First curriculum to teach the principles behind coding social media applications in Scratch. This curriculum is aimed at students ages 9-15, but ages 9-18 are welcome to participate. 16-18 year olds may find the curriculum to be too easy, but if they are completely new to coding, it is a great place to start. If you have never tried coding before, please attend coding club in January, or come to one of our Tech Thursday coding classes prior to starting the club in February.

Open Art Studio: Hidden Beauty

Lego Build

Where: Old Colorado City Library at Old Colorado City Meeting Room

Show off your creativity with this family event. Please do not bring your own LEGOs and all masterpieces remain at the library. (However, donations are gladly accepted!) Join us on the fourth Friday of the month.

American Girl Dressmaking!

When: Saturday, February 24, 2018 - 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Where: Ute Pass Library at Ute Pass Community Events

Learn how to make your very own custom American girl dress. All sewing materials will be provided by the library, but patrons will need to bring their own sewing machines. Make sure to register by phone at 719-684-9342 or online at ppld.org. For ages nine and up.

Yo-Yo Club

FREE MATH TUTORING for all ages and all levels of math! Registration is not required, but it helps us prepare to serve you better! Please let us know what grade/level of math you need work on and what time you will be joining us when you sign up!

Please make arrangements for students under 12 years-old to be picked at the end of their time. Thank you for understanding.

Every month, we go ALL OUT celebrating a fandom. This month, to celebrate the Black Panther movie release, we will honor everything MARVEL related with games, activities, crafts, treats & more! Cosplay encouraged!

Mother/Daughter Book Club

When: Tuesday, February 27, 2018 - 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Where: East Library at East Childrens Story Room

For girls ages 9-12 and their mothers/mother figures. Registration is required and limited to 10 pairs (a mother with two daughters in this age range is still considered a “pair”). To register, call 531-6333 x1408.

AfterMath!

Where: Library21c at Ent Conference Center

Is math homework getting you down? Are finals freaking you out? Do you need to brush up before the ACT, SAT, or GED? Our experienced math tutors can help you improve your grades and take the stress out of math.

No appointments - Drop in! This runs from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m.
We will not have AfterMath in the case of holidays or school weather closures.

Learn to Sew: Messenger Bags

When: Thursday, March 01, 2018 - 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Where: East Library at Make @ East

In this three part class, participants will hone their sewing skills by sewing a fully lined messenger bag. Participants should be able to attend all three classes, and should be between the ages of 9-11. Youth ages 9-10 need to be accompanied by a parent, but only the tween needs to register.
