How do I place an order?
Currently, orders can be placed by completing either a Personal, Research, & Nonprofit Use Order Form/Use Agreement or the Commercial Use Order Form/Use Agreement and returning the form along with payment (cash or check made payable to “PPLD”) to:

At present, the library is unable to accept online orders or credit card payment.
How much does image reproduction cost?
Regional History & Genealogy produces digital copies and a variety of standard size print reproductions. For specific pricing information, see either the Personal, Research, & Nonprofit Use Order Form/Use Agreement or the Commercial Use Order Form/Use Agreement.
Does my intended use qualify as Personal, Research, & Nonprofit Use or Commercial Use?
Are you planning to use your images for any of the following purposes?
- Private display
- Research or personal interest
- Student project
- Nonprofit (meaning you have a valid tax exempt number) publication or exhibition?
Please use the Personal, Research, & Nonprofit Use Order Form/Use Agreement. Are you planning to use your images for any of the following purposes (and your organization does NOT hold a valid Nonprofit Corporate Entity ID number)?
- Commercial Exhibitions
- Advertising
- Video/TV/Film Production
- Publication

What payment options are accepted by Regional History & Genealogy?
Cash and personal checks made payable to “PPLD” (Pikes Peak Library District) are accepted.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Normal turnaround time for print reproductions and digital files is 10 days or less from the receipt of the order.
Is there a shipping/handling fee on image orders?
For digital image orders (usually 20 items or less), images can be delivered to your email address via https://dropbox.com at no additional cost. Reproduction prints and image files on CD are shipped in protective packaging with a shipping and handling charge of $6.00 for orders shipped within the United States and Canada. These types of orders can also be picked up directly from Regional History & Genealogy at no charge. Additional fees apply for orders shipped internationally (please contact the Photo Archivist for more details).
How are print reproductions produced?
Print reproductions are made from high resolution scans of original source material in our holdings. Orders are printed on glossy paper using an Epson printer, paper and ink. Images are printed uncropped and may not be proportional to the print size requested.
Can I save or print a photo from this website?
You may save or print an image from this website at no charge for research or educational use. Please make sure the copyright notice on the page is kept with the image.
I work for a local media outlet in the Colorado Springs area. How can I obtain images for publication?

Do you have other photos that are not online?
The photos online represent only about a small percentage of the photographs in the Pikes Peak Library District Photo Archives. As our photo digitization efforts continue over the coming years, more images will be added.
Do you have a photo of my house?
While we do have some photographs of individual houses (most notably, houses photographed as part of the Westside Historic District survey in the early 1980s), we have very few early pictures of residences. Early street scenes, however, often show buildings, including residences, along the street, although they may not be the main focus of the photo. We do not have a comprehensive listing of houses in the Photo Archives.
When will the rest of your photos be online?
Photo digitization is an ongoing project. Photographs are selected for digitization based on subject matter, quality and demand. In some cases, copyright restrictions may limit our use of the material.
