High Prairie Seed Library

High Prairie Seed Library

Our Mission

To encourage a thriving community of gardeners, from beginner to expert, through the process of growing, harvesting and seed saving/sharing.

How it Works

  1. Choose/check out some seeds from High Prairie Library. Please limit to 3 packets per family, per month.
  2. To increase variety, share/trade extra seeds with other community members.
  3. Grow your garden.
  4. Save seed to use for next year. Share some with the Library if you can!*

*You can also purchase commercially grown seed to donate to the Library for sharing.

Hi! I'm a librarian at Tacoma Public Library in Washington State. We are in the early stages of developing our Seed Library and I'm wondering if you would be able to share any of your planning documentation with us. In particular your planning outlines and budget expectations. Thank you for considering this request!

Hi Michelle, We are happy to share some of our planning documentation with you. We will reach out to you via email. Thanks!
