PPLD Foundation: How to Give

Your support of the Tri-Building Project will allow Pikes Peak Library District to transform the current library service delivery model into a library system that will meet our community’s needs for the 21st Century. Your donations will help underwrite PPLD’s exceptional service to families and businesses in the Pikes Peak region.

The Tri-Building Project defines the next phase of PPLD’s distinctive service delivery that will meet the needs of families and businesses of southern Colorado seeking the knowledge and skills required to succeed in the 21st Century. The plan is to renovate the recently purchased building that is large enough to amply create a new regional library. This new library will contain traditional materials and integrate the newest delivery methods for information. The Maker Space, part of C3 (Creative Computer Commons), will engage all of our citizens in making and sharing their own stories or business plans. It will house a multipurpose 400-seat community meeting room that will advance the potential of libraries as the Third Space for community assembly and dialogue.

The Project also includes partial renovation and expansion of public space at East and Penrose libraries to optimize resources and keep them current. Over 30,000 square feet of additional public space will be realized, and it will be operated with no increase to the existing budget.

Thank you. With your assistance, we will continue to provide progressive, forward-thinking services to our community designed to meet the needs of the 21st Century student and life-long learner. For more information please visit http://ppld.org/21stCenturyLibrary.
