Image Transfer: Making Art out of Photographs

In the class Image Transfer: Making Art out of Photographs participants will learn how to create photo transfers using simple techniques such as hand sanitizer and gel medium. Each participant is encouraged to bring personal photographs to work with during the class.

All supplies will be provided for the class.

Ages 16 and up. Registration is required.

English as a Second Language (ESL)

For adults wanting to improve their workplace and every day English language skills. Classes provide instruction in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Registration is required. MAKE @ East Open Hours

Where: East Library - 5550 N. Union Blvd. at EA Makerspace

During Open Hours MAKE @ East is available for patrons to work on their own projects while a trained PPLD staff member is present. Equipment and supplies are available on a first come basis.

All patrons in the space must be at least 9 years old. Ages 9-11 must be accompanied by a guardian at all times. Parent/guardian supervision is welcome for all minors over age 12.

Paper Crafting Class with Theresa Pingel & Jo Golden

If you've attended one of Theresa Pingel's and Jo Golden's paper crafting classes in the past, you know how much fun they are. Each participant will take home 2 finished projects. Beginners are welcome! All supplies are provided, including basic glue sticks, although if you have a preferred adhesive please bring it with you, and there is no charge, but you must register online at ppld.org or call 382-5347. (Must be 14 or older to attend.)

Maker Monday: Fairy Gardens!

Join us for 6 weeks to exercise your "Body/Brain". We will explore many facets of helping your Brain have the best health ever. We will experience topics such as Brain Booster exercises, Acupressure techniques, EFT, Proper Hydration and Nutrition, Brain Games, and laughter for Brain/mood health. Class runs from 4/10-5/15. This is a progressive class and you will get the most benefit by attending all of the classes.
